Photo and barcode scan
Upload a picture of a package, or point the camera at a barcode (the code is read in your browser). We identify the product and search matching recalls so you can check a purchase on the spot.
Recall search
Search the same CPSC, FDA food, FDA MedWatch, USDA, and NHTSA notices we monitor. Open a recall to see lots, UPCs, models, locations, and the official link. Share opens a public page at app.recallkitchen.com/r/… that anyone can open without signing in; pasted links preview the title and image.

API and MCP
Software and agents can search recalls with a free API key, or pay per anonymous request with x402 (USDC on Base, $0.025 per call after the free quota). Search by keyword, UPC, lot, VIN, or photo (HTTPS URL or data URI). See the developer docs and the API Terms.
Privacy
Watchlists and uploads are used to match recalls. We do not sell your personal information. You can delete a scan’s photo, its saved details, or both in the app. Email [email protected] for a partial or full account deletion. Details are in Privacy. Also see Cookies.
If you get a recall alert
- Read the official notice. Compare the brand, product name, lot, UPC, or model — not just the category.
- Official notices may say not to eat a food, or to stop using, return, or discard a product. Follow that notice.
- Keep the packaging or receipt if you plan to follow a return instruction in the notice.
- When our page and the official notice do not line up, the official source controls: CPSC, FDA, USDA, NHTSA.
